Palm Treo Pro is expected to come with 3G (HSDPA), GPS, 2 megapixel camera, QWERTY keyboard, 320×320 touchscreen, and microSD card slot. No word on pricing yet, but AT&T in the U.S. will be offering the Palm Treo Pro at a $549 price-point sans any contracts and in Europe you can pick this up for €399 through Vodafone and O2.

Unfortunately, Verizon have continued their long and storied tradition of breaking the phones on their networks by unnecessarily locking down features, hence even with the update if you need to use any location-based service, you’ll have to rely on the carrier’s VZ Navigator.

Global Certification Forum just approved the Asus GM5, codenamed “Christal” which seems to be developed for O2 as the “Xda Zest”. Like all other Xda phones, this smartphone will most likely run Windows Mobile, it has also triband GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz), singleband UMTS (2100 MHz), UMTS video telephony support and browsing capabilities. No word on release date yet. Stay tuned.

The tri-band (900/1800/1900 MHz) GSM/GPRS radio-enabled smartphone features a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, 3.2 megapixel camera, built-in GPS receiver, FM radio, Bluetooth, and a microSD memory expansion slot. Unfortunately, it has NO 3G nor WiFi connectivity. Samsung i740 costs around 285 EUR.
