Windows Mobile 6.1 Update for AT&T’s Motorola Q9c. Following on the previous report, WinMo 6.1 Update for Sprint’s Motorola Q9c, AT&T has announced that subscribers with Motorola Q9h smartphones will be getting a Windows Mobile 6.1 update in the near future. According to Mike who revealed this, It looks like Motorola is prepping for the release of the WM 6.1 upgrade for AT&T Q9h. Motorola’s website links to what is a placeholder and is not the actual update. We have no information on a release date, but we’ll let you know when it’s available so you’re not spamming “refresh” on the Motorola Software Update Page.

Windows Mobile 5.0 with Messaging and Security Feature Pack, and Windows Mobile 6 operating systems were awarded Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 2+ (EAL2+). Samsung SGH-i200 - Standard Windows Mobile 6 Smartphone. After the Samsung SGH-i300, this is Samsung’s first standard candy bar 12-keys phone pad smartphone and therefore it might find its own audience since not everybody want to have BlackBerry kind of device these days.
Feature-wise, the SGH-i200 is quite comparable to the SGH-i620/SGH-i640 by featuring triband GSM/GPRS/EDGE, singleband UMTS/HSDPA and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR. Change Windows Mobile 5 & 6 System Font. Merlin_reloaded and g77 over at XDA-developers forums has put together an easy solution to change the fonts on your Windows Mobile 5.0 PocketPC and Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional (and possibly some WinMo Smartphone devices as well) handset. The font-changing procedure is as easy as downloading the .cab file of your choosing (there’s one each for Myriad, Calibri, or Segeo UI) and installing it on your smartphone. Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 with Windows Mobile 6.5 ? Sony Ericsson XPERIA Windows Mobile smartphone was announced. We know that XPERIA will have some great features, such as GPS, HSDPA, 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and much more. What we don’t know is that if Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 will have the Windows Mobile version 6 or a newer version.
Word has it that the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 will be running a more advanced version of Windows Mobile - namely, Windows Mobile 6.5 It ain’t Windows Mobile 6.1 but it’s not quite Windows Mobile 7.0. Windows Mobile Smartphones hit 14.3 million in past 6 months. Microsoft’s press conference at Mobile World Congress (3GSM) 2008 was something of a counter-punch to the iPhone sales figures that have been floating around of late. Shipments of Windows Mobile smartphones hit 14.3 million units globally in the last six months, and Microsoft expects to hit 20 million units by June of this year.
