Screenshots: Windows Mobile 6.5 OS in Q3 2009? We've previously heard that Windows Mobile 6.5 confirmed by Microsoft CEO, shipping in 2009, Recently, More Rumors, More screenshots for 'Windows Mobile 6.5' are coming back. A new rumor says that Microsoft will be unveiling their Windows Mobile 6.5 OS at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. And, it's presented with the previous WinMo 6.5 concept screenshots. At MWC Microsoft is also expected to unveil three new web-based services alongside Windows Mobile 6.5, they are SkyBox, SkyLine, and SkyMarket.

SkyBox is a service for users to sync a phones information with the web. It will be as Microsoft’s new cloud-based phone-synchronization service, similar to Apple’s MobileMe service. SkyBox also allows for over-the-air backup and restore of the your mobile phone, syncing contacts, email, text messages, calendars, and photos to the cloud. SkyLine will be aimed at small businesses. Offering similar functionality to SkyBox, businesses will be able to setup their phones with Microsoft's Exchange hosting with their own domain names. SkyMarket is the codename for Microsoft's mobile marketplace, a competitor to Apple's AppStore and RIM's Blackberry application center. It will aggregate the thousands of Windows Mobile applications currently on market, and providing an integrated platform for delivering new apps.

Another rumor also says that the first smartphones and PDAs running WM6.5 should hit the market during Q3 2009.

Interestingly, Other screenshots and video of what someone claims is a leaked Windows Mobile 6.5 beta-ROM running on old HTC hardware (HTC Blue Angel) have been released by an xda-developers member (sun_dream). The UI looks like Windows Mobile 6.1 with a few 'touchscreen' additions. And yeah some of you might say that it’s probably just images of a Chinese phone with fake WinMo 6.5.
