Sony Ericsson Jalou announced + special Dolce&Gabbana edition

Sony Ericsson has announced its new phone, Jalou. Called "the irresistable compact fashion phone from Sony Ericsson", the mobile phone features a 3.2-megapixel camera on board, HSPA, GPS, 2-inch QVGA internal screen, 1.3-inch 128×36 pixels external screen, Bluetooth, FM radio, media player, a microSD memory card slot, pre-installed apps include YouTube client and other Google apps, IM and email clients.

It is also the first Sony Ericsson to feature Walk Mate step counter, to help you stay in shape wherever you go. It also has an exclusive fashion interface which automatically updates with zodiac signs and special events throughout the year. There’s also "Mirror Key" to "check your hair before a hot date." Size wise, the Jalou measures 73×45x18.2 mm and has a weight of 84 grams.

Jalou by Sony Ericsson supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS/HSDPA 2100. Jalou will be available in the fourth quarter 2009 in the colours Deep Amethyst, Aquamarine Blue and Onyx Black.

Sony Ericsson also announced the special Dolce&Gabbana edition of the device. The so called Jalou by Dolce&Gabbana will be available in “Sparkling Rose” complete with exclusive packaging and accessories: three silky rose satin bags and D&G branded headset with gold accents. Pre-loaded content include photography and video clips from the fashion company’s women’s Autumn/Winter 2010 runway show, with sneak peek footage from all the backstage action. There are also themes and wallpapers.
