First Android phone from Sony Ericsson, XPERIA X10 has been announced along with its UX open platform. The UX (user experience) platform builds on top of the Open OS and creates a unique Sony Ericsson user experience by combining best-in-class entertainment features with signature applications, unrivalled integration of social media services and a rich graphical user interface. There are signature applications like Mediascape and Timescape which allow users to manage their social networking activities (Timescape), and browse all the media, both on the phone and on the Internet (Mediascape).

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is the first mobile phone to truly humanise the way people interact with their phones. The X10 comes with great specifications: quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity – 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, plus tri/quad-band HSPA 900/1700/2100 or 800/850/1900/2100 MHz, a 4-inch WVGA (480×854 pixels) capacitive touchscreen, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 CPU, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 8.1 megapixel auto-focus camera with an array of camera technologies including touch focus, face recognition, smile detection, image and video stabilizer, geo-tagging, 3.5mm audio jack. Coming with Google apps pre-loaded, Android 1.6 Donut (probably upgradable to 2.0 Eclair), it has 1GB of internal memory, plus a microSD memory card slot (8GB card should come in box).

Size wise, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 measures 119×63x13 mm and has a weight of 135 grams. The device will be launched in the first half of 2010, available in Sensuous Black and Luster White.
