Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition announced

Nokia has announced an upgraded version of the popular Nokia 5800 touchscreen device, it's Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition. It features Ovi Maps for mobile, the industry's only mobile device solution offering real-time turn-by-turn navigation for both cars and pedestrians. When driving, Ovi Maps for mobile is a full-fledged car navigation solution with enhanced safety features like speed limit warnings and speed camera alerts, and near real-time information on traffic congestion due to roadwork or accidents.

The Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition comes pre-loaded with maps for the entire U.S. and Canada, and users may also update and add maps from more than 180 additional countries at any time for free using Nokia Map Loader, a downloadable PC application available at www.nokiausa.com/maps.

The Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition retails for approximately 299 USD and is available through www.nokiausa.com and other independent online and retail channels in the United States. Through December 31, Nokia is offering a 50 USD Visa prepaid gift card for customers who buy the device and activate an account with Ovi Store, Nokia's marketplace for mobile applications, videos, games and more.
