Google has officially announced the launch of 'Nexus One', the newest Android-powered phone running the latest Android 2.1 OS (Eclair). Nexus One features a 3.7-inch capacitive widescreen WVGA AMOLED touchscreen (800x480 pixels), HSDPA 7.2Mbps, HSUPA 2Mbps, UMTS Band 1/4/8 (2100/AWS/900), GSM/EDGE (850,900,1800,1900 MHz), 5 megapixels camera with autofocus from 6cm to infinity, 2X digital zoom and LED flash.

The Nexus One phone by Google also comes with Qualcomm QSD 8250 1 GHz, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, AGPS receiver, digital compass, haptic feedback, and accelerometer, removable 1400 mAH battery (charges at 480mA from USB, at 980mA from supplied charger), 4GB Micro SD Card (expandable to 32 GB). Size wise, the superphone measures 119×59.8x11.5 mm and has a weight of 130 grams.

Nexus One is available from Google for $529.00 unlocked sans any contracts. You can also get the GPhone from T-Mobile for $179.00, that's with the T-Mobile Even More individual 500 plan, and a new two year contract. The Nexus One Phone is coming soon to Verizon Wireless in the US. and Vodafone in Europe, in Spring 2010.
