Acer Liquid e for Rogers comingRogers has announced that it is partnering with Acer to bring the Acer Liquid e to Canadians consumers. The first Acer smartphone in Canada comes with Android 2.1, a 5 megapixel camera, 3.5-inch WVGA touch display, 256 MB RAM, 512MB ROM, WiFi, GPS, 7.2 Mbps HSPA connectivity, and so on.

Acer Liquid e will be available exclusively from Rogers beginning this spring.

“Acer Liquid e” Android 2.1 phone replaces the A1

Acer Liquid e Android 21 phone replaces the A1Acer has presented “Liquid e” at the Mobile World Congress 2010, the new version of the already well known Liquid smartphone, the A1 Liquid. Acer Liquid e features the latest Android 2.1 OS (aka Eclair), 5MP camera with auto-focus, 768 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 8250 processor, a 3.5-inch high-definition capacitive touch screen, HSPA, 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM, WiFi, Accelerometer, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, microSD memory card slot, and 1350 mAh battery (up to 5 hours of talk / 400 hours of standby time). Size wise, it measures 115×64×12.7 mm and has a weight of 135 grams.

What’s new on Liquid e with Android Eclair 2.1:
+ Home screens – The new version now handles five home screens by default, allowing users to easily install more applications from the rich selection available on the Android Market, as well as shortcuts and widgets;

Acer E110 Android phone Acer P300 WinMo smartphone unveiledTwo new Acer smartphones have appeared over at the Bluetooth SIG, they’re Acer E110 with Android and Acer P300 with Windows Mobile. Both the Acer E110 and Acer P300 are manufactured by Chi Mei Communication Systems (part of Foxconn). The Android-powered Acer E110 comes with HSDPA connectivity, A-GPS, Bluetooth, touchscreen with four touch-sensitive keys below. Acer P300 Windows Mobile smartphone features HSPA connectivity, WiFi, USB 2.0, and Bluetooth.

5-6 Acer Android phones in H1 2010Recently we’ve seen an Android phone came from Acer, the Acer Liquid A1 (S100) passed FCC with AT&T 3G. Now a new report says that Acer is planning 5-6 Android phones in first half of 2010. The company’s VP of Asian handset division says that it has “five or six” additional models on tap for early 2010 that’ll run the gamut from low- to high-end.

Acer Liquid A1 S100 Passes FCC with ATT 3GAndroid-powered Acer Liquid A1 (S100) smartphone has been approved by the FCC along with AT&T 3G support (850/1900 MHz). Those not familiar with the Acer Liquid A1 phone should know that it comes with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 5 megapixel camera + AF, a 3.5 inch WVGA touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, GPS, access to social networking sites (Twitter, Facebook, Flickr), and 3.5mm headset jack. The device is at the FCC, meaning we could see it hitting AT&T sooner than later.
