According to a survey commissioned by Nokia, whose Nokia E72 smartphone is in stores now, more than two-thirds (68%) of Americans plan to respond to work-related emails while on vacation or over the holidays this year. A new firmware upgrade is now available for the popular Nokia Eseries, E71. The new version is 400.21.013 which comes with some improvements. It comes with improved support for Nokia Email/Messaging, The pre-installed version of Ovi Contacts is available in the Installations folder, small updates for several apps: Internet radio, Quickoffice (5.3), Ovi Store, Email Setup Wizard, and Mail for Exchange.
The new version of Ovi Store client is now much faster. The new firmware update also brings improved searching in Contacts, and improvements in WLAN functionality. As usual, it is suggested that you backup all your data before upgrading.
Facebook has released its app for Nokia E71 and E72 smartphones. The new app lets you keep up with your friends right at your fingertips. Update your status, see what your friends are up to, upload photos, check messages and lookup phone numbers when you need them anytime and anywhere.
Facebook allows you to comment on your friend’s statuses, RSVP to e vent invites and confirm or deny friend requests. The Facebook for Nokia E71/E72 brings Facebook directly to your phone. You can download the Facebook app via Ovi Store.
Nokia has officially released firmware updates for its Eseries and Nseries smartphones, Nokia E63, E66, E71, and N96. All software releases include several performance improvements. The new firmware update for Nokia E63 (v200.21.012), Nokia E66 (v300.21.012) and Nokia E71 (v300.21.012) smartphones includes a new version of Nokia messaging and Hotmail application, and improved HTML support. The new Nokia N96 firmware update (version 30.033) will add a Facebook app and improved ringtone audio levels.
You can download the firmware updates on your handsets via Nokia Software Updater (available via Nokia PC Suite). N96 users can also download it over-the-air (*#0000#), As usual, it is suggested that you backup all your data before upgrading.

Nokia has announced version 2.0 of the Nokia Messaging IM Beta. It now adds support for the E71 and E63 devices as well as support for the Google Talk community. Nokia Messaging offers a desktop-like IM experience on your Nokia device. You can stay in contact with your friends across multiple communities, easily switch between and save conversations and login invisibly. You can download the app from http://betalabs.nokia.com/apps/nokia-messaging-chat.
We’ve spotted a new Nokia Eseries device hitting FCC labs called E72. The device offers full HSPA on the 850 and 1900MHz bands in addition to quadband EDGE and HSPA 2100. We don’t see any carrier branding on the device, meaning that we can expect the handset to hit Nokia Flagship Store in the near future.

Nokia E55 has recently been approved by the FCC. The handset is on its way to the North American market. Nokia E55 features WiFi, GPS, HSDPA, 3.2 megapixel camera, Symbian S60 3.2 OS, and more. We can’t wait for it to come in the Nokia’s Flagship stores in Chicago and New York City.
