The iPhone 3G Pay & Go plan will be launched in O2 stores and The Carphone Warehouse on September 16th. O2 will sell the 8GB and 16GB iPhone 3Gs for 349.99 GBP and 399.99 GBP. Unfortunately, Visual Voicemail isn’t included in the service. More information is available from O2’s website here.

Polaroid PoGo Instant Mobile Printer for O2 UKPolaroid PoGo Instant Mobile Printer for O2 UK. A retail partnership with O2UK has been announced by Polaroid for its PoGo Instant Mobile Printer. It will now be sold in all 480 of O2’s retail stores in UK. PoGo weighs just 8 ounces, and uses Bluetooth to transfer images for printing. It can create full-colour digital photos without the need for ink cartridges or ribbons. Since its launch in July the Polaroid PoGo Instant Mobile Printer has been available at PC World, Curry’s Digital, John Lewis, Play.com and Amazon.

O2 offers Home + Mobile Broadband

O2 offers Home + Mobile Broadband. A joint mobile and fixed broadband deal has been offered by O2 for its customers.

The joint offer is available for customers signing up to O2 Mobile Broadband between 1 August and 31 October 2008 who live within the O2 Home Broadband network – approximately 60 per cent of the UK population. The deal is also available to existing O2 Mobile and Home Broadband customers. Customers wanting to upgrade to a higher speed package or not covered by O2’s broadband network will receive a £7.50 per month discount on their chosen plan for 12 months.

Global Certification Forum just approved the Asus GM5, codenamed “Christal” which seems to be developed for O2 as the “Xda Zest”. Like all other Xda phones, this smartphone will most likely run Windows Mobile, it has also triband GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz), singleband UMTS (2100 MHz), UMTS video telephony support and browsing capabilities. No word on release date yet. Stay tuned.

O2 Ireland has boosted its service with HSUPA up to 1.4 Mbps and HSDPA (downstream) at 7.2 Mbps. The devices which are HSUPA capable include the USB Modem E270, USB Stick E170 and Express Card E870. O2 customers can subscribe the service online or at stores.

As a follow-up to the previous post (HTC Touch Pro (aka Raphael) now Official), There’s news said that O2 Germany will launch its version of the HTC Touch Pro (Raphael) under the Xda brand (the name isn’t unveiled yet) later this summer as well. The “O2’s Raphael” which is powered by a Qualcomm MSM 7201A CPU at 528 MHz will feature Windows Mobile 6.1, a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera and on the front, the VGA camera for video telephony. Motorola Z10 features video recording/editing capabiities, 3.2 megapixel camera, UIQ 3.2 running on top of Symbian OS, HSDPA support, Bluetooth, and microSD memory slot. Consumers will also get the Bourne Trilogy film collection on a 1GB microSD card to watch on their new mobile phone.
