Following on recent report about the Zoompass Mobile Payments coming soon to TELUS BlackBerry smartphones, the company has announced the launch of the Zoompass Tag which is a wireless payment device designed in the form of a sticker that can be attached to a mobile phone.
Now, select Zoompass users will need only their mobile phone with the Zoompass Tag to access their mobile cash account and make purchases at retail stores. Zoompass users will be able to simply tap their phones on a contactless reader at point of sale to make purchases – just like a PayPass-enabled credit card. Citibank has updated its Citi Mobile iPhone application, now comes with a new functionality for Citi credit card customers in the U.S. to manage their card accounts anywhere, anytime.
Citi credit card customers can quickly check account balances and available credit at any time with just a tap of the screen. The iPhone application also provides details on recent transactions, as well as the date on which the next payment is due, which can help prevent the accrual of fees from inadvertently late or missed payments.
