Deutsche Telekom is looking to Computop Paygate to provide a secure payment platform

Digital goods, hotspots & cloud: Computop gains global player as new customer -- Payment People’s expertise and Computop Paygate’s extended range of services to help Deutsche Telekom manage its payment processing of credit card transactions

Deutsche Telekom, one of the world's leading integrated telecommunication companies, is looking to Computop Paygate to provide a secure payment platform. Securing its position as an international payment service provider for premium brands and companies, the international payment service provider (PSP), Computop Paygate will be processing credit card transactions for digital goods and services, product downloads and cloud services across the group. In addition to this, there will also be in-flight hotspots for journeys all around the world on various airlines including Lufthansa, American Airlines and British Airways. Furthermore, Computop will be processing payments for public hotspot access in hotels and fast food restaurants as well as second class carriages of Deutsche Bahn rail services in Germany.

Computop offers an impressive package with its extensive portfolio of national and international payment methods and its close working relationship with a host of financial partners and acquirers. In terms of technical and administrative setup, Computop Paygate’s Payment People also score highly as a valuable partner offering extensive expertise, even when catering for individual requirements. Computop SecurePay protects transactions carried out with velocity checks and block lists. Individual limits can therefore be defined for the number of orders or sales, and suspicious credit card numbers can be managed in a block list. Telekom customers benefit through the use of a maximum security pseudo card number for online credit card payments. Since Computop Paygate's checkout forms are responsive and therefore multi-device capable, the payment process on all popular devices such as PCs, smartphones, tablets and TVs is displayed optimally.

“We are delighted that we will be handling the international payments for a reputable company like Telekom,” says Ralf Gladis, CEO of Computop. “The fact that yet another global player has decided once again to choose Computop Paygate to provide its main payment platform demonstrates Computop’s success as a premium payment service provider.”
