
The FCC has unveiled some certification documents that show Sharp PB10ZU and PB20ZU devices which could possibly be the Microsoft’s “Turtle” and “Pure” Project Pink phone. The Turtle (PB10ZU) is a dual-band CDMA slider phone with EVDO Rev. A, 802.11b/g WiFi, and Bluetooth. The FCC docs don’t detail the second model, the PB20ZU “pure”.

The Joint Innovation Lab (JIL) has announced that leading handset manufacturers LG Electronics (LG), Research In Motion (RIM), Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (Samsung) and Sharp Corporation (Sharp) will support the JIL widget specification in future mobile handsets from Q1 2010.
The launch of a wide range of JIL widget compliant handsets will enable developers to create applications that can be rolled out to customers across the JIL member companies of China Mobile, SOFTBANK, Verizon Wireless and Vodafone, who have a combined user base of more than 1 billion across Africa, Asia, Europe and North America.
“The decision of LG, RIM, Samsung and Sharp to incorporate the JIL widget specifications in their future product roadmap is proof of the tremendous potential that JIL offers both to developers and customers,” said Peters Suh, JIL CEO. “All four companies are innovation leaders and this is another strong affirmation of both JIL strategy and its robust technical specifications.”

Sharp has recently announced world’s thinnest mobile phone solar panel. Sharp will introduce into the global market the new LR0GC02 Solar Module for Mobile Devices that features a thickness of 0.8 mm, the industry’s thinnest level. The solar cells that make up the module are based on polycrystalline silicon and deliver a maximum power of 300 mW, and as an auxiliary power source for mobile devices, will contribute to saving energy. In addition, the electrode pattern on the cell surface can be formed to meet the requirements of device manufacturers, leading to increased design flexibility for mobile devices.

Softbank in Japan has announced Sharp Aquos Shot 933SH. The mobile phone features a 10 megapixel camera with LED flash and smile detection, and the ability to go up to ISO 12800. It also features 3.3” VGA Mobile ASV LCD, microSDHC cards and have 16GB of internal memory.

Not to be left behind by Samsung’s Blue Earth, In cooperation with Sharp, KDDI au in Japan will offer an eco-friendly mobile phone that will be waterproof and powered by solar energy. Interestingly, with only 10 minutes of a solar charge in the sun, The handset is able to provide one minute of talk time and 120 minutes of standby.
The solar-powered waterproof phone will also come with a conventional battery that can be charged up to 80% via solar power. It will be sold in Japan from June.

T-Mobile Sidekick iD back again only $50. Although the Sidekick iD is kind of old and many people want a T-Mobile Sidekick 2008 instead of it, Sidekick iD is now for sale again.
