Samsung P240 DuoS dual-SIM and WinMo 6.1 DuoS. Samsung has decided to approach a youth market with a cheaper dual SIM card phone - Samsung P240 DuoS. Russian site Smape by head of Samsung Russia, Yoonsoo Kim reveals the news of this handset.

The new DuoS handset retains the sought-after dual-SIM capability and offers Bluetooth 2.0, 2 megapixel camera, microSD card slot, FM radio with RDS, 2-inch display, and mpeg4 player - all packed in a slim 115.1×48.6×15.7 mm package powered by a Philips PNX5230+OM6357 chipset and a tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900Mhz) radio.

Yoonsoo Kim also confirmed that Armani lookalike Samsung P520 DuoS touchscreen phone has been canceled, due to the incompatibilities between full touchscreen UI and Dual SIM technologies. Switching between two SIM cards via touchscreen was not working. Kim also confirmed that Samsung is working on a Windows Mobile based business DuoS smartphone, due in late 2008. Symbian DuoS is also a possibility, though they don’t have plans for one this year.
