Where to get it?

Are you sure it runs Windows mobile? I've seen some pictures on http ://www.dealextreme.com, which sells the Awang 9000 for $189 and the Windows logo seems definitely fake, since the apps don't look very windows-like.

If you can confirm it runs Windows Mobile, I'm buying one right now

UPDATE: It looks like WinMo but it isn't. it's a rip-off of Windows Mobile.

I have used the Awang A9000 for a few months and for the price it isn't half bad, the finish is not the best but what do you expect for the price. It works in Australia and the U.K. and the wow factor is high.

Hi,

I also have the real HTC TyTN II and have it for private use.
Now, I also have a phone from my work and don’t like to carry both.
I consider to buy the Awang A9000 to install both simm cards.

On my HTC TyTN II I have installed the TomTom route planner.
Is it possible to install it also on the Awang A9000??

I hope that somebody can answer my question.

Thanks,
R.Hendriks

I have this phone. It's a good phone style wise. you should get it if you want a cheap phone which has touchscreen and QWERTY keyboard. It runs NES games too. Lot's of NES games are available on the net to download. So great entertainment. Speakers are good. but headphone sucks.

QWERTY keyboard keys quite hard to press. It supports runs JAVA is a lie. It doesn't even recognize .jar or .jad files. (or if someone knows how to install java in it, Please tell me.) Camera Doesn't have good quality. Video recording is not smooth. if you are using it in horizontal mode and running some application or game and close the keyboard. It will close whatever it is running. and will back to main screen.
