Apple is testing the first maintenance and security updates for its iPhone 2.0 Firmware that aim to improve performance and fix a number of outstanding bugs. BoyGenius's server logs point towards users visiting the site using a version of the iPhone OS numbered 2.0.1. Two builds are said to be in circulation, 5B101 for 2G iPhone and 5B103 iPhone 3G.
AppleInsider has the screenshot of what appears to be the iPhone 2.0.1 OS up and running on an iPhone. The server requests are said to come from the San Francisco Bay Area, near the Cupertino headquarters for Apple and Atlanta, AT&T’s home base. This new firmware is expected to bring some bug fixes, we don't know the details, maybe additional features will also be included? we can't wait, Stay tuned.
