City ID - Verizon Caller ID app to display city and state of incoming calls
City ID - Verizon Caller ID app to display city and state of incoming calls. An enhanced mobile Caller ID application which displays the city and state of incoming calls has been introduced by Verizon Wireless. City ID, an application from Cequint, features information on more than 20,000 cities in North America, providing enough detail to be useful identifying numbers calling from both across town and across the country.

Available on the LG Voyager, City ID automatically displays the city and state where an incoming phone number is registered, providing additional information to help Verizon Wireless customers recognize unknown numbers. Verizon Wireless customers purchasing the Voyager will receive a complimentary 15-day trial of the City ID application beginning with their first incoming call.

Customers may subscribe to City ID for $1.99 monthly access per line added to their monthly plan. City ID comes preloaded on new Voyagers; customers with existing Voyagers can take their phones to any Verizon Wireless Communications Store to receive the free software update. Verizon Wireless expects to offer City ID on additional devices in the coming months.

I just called Verizon...it's an app, not really a service.
Look thru the menus on your phone, and you can delete / cancel / remove it from there. Mine was under: Media Center > browse & download (IIRC) > City ID. Click on "options" then "Remove".
