New prototype 3D LCD display screen by KDDI. KDDI shows off a new prototype LCD display screen destined for mobile phones that's capable of showing 3D images. With the 2 images in a slightly different position, the stereoscopic LCD display tricks your eye into thinking there’s a real 3D image right in front of them.

KDDI demonstrated the prototype with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, and both still images and video could be viewed in 3D.
