I have had this Samsung i616 for over a year now, and it came with a disc that is the manual that i have never been able to read. I need to update the browser but dont know how. I have never been able to load the software, and this mail icon keeps coming up on my phone that looks like the outlook mail icon but i have never had outlook on this phone, because i dont know how to install it, i never have installed anything myselfon a computer because i dont know how, when i was at work the tech guys took care of it and i only had outlook once 10 years ago. Have never used it since and this mail icon keeps coming up on my phone, i think smeone is trying to set me up by saying i am usingmail, but i am only emailing myself, for documentation. I would like to find out what this mail icon is and how they are sending mail into my phone when i am not even using it.
Rena Kathy: That icon means you have a new txt message. It has nothing to do with mail.
I know you must of given up by now but i will give your response a try, I have been searching for 4 hours tirelessly, god its annoying trying to find the right samsung, update, they are all garbage or old and bad file links I have found the recent update of samsung pc studio, hopefully by now your well familiar with your phone or re-read the manual, its an easy software, just fiddle with it! So wanting to upgrade is at this site but you have to wait 90 seconds because they want you to buy whatever that they want, just wait. I have a windows 7 laptop and I have tried many ways to upgrade so far they suck, I hope you have xp, i am going to use the xp PC and upgrade it i hope it f--ing works i am tired of searching. this is for anyone else who wants to find the recent update of samsung Pcstudio, but for the i616 on windows 7 64bit, i would press upgrade and it would detect nothing im fed up.
