nVidia Tegra for HTC smartphones? We've heard some rumors before about Nvidia Tegra; nVidia Tegra 650 Mobile Processor, Microsoft makes NVIDIA Tegra-based smartphone? Recently, The International Business Times is reporting that Chip maker Nvidia will power new mobile devices made by HTC. “We believe that HTC has selected the NVDA Tegra applications processor for a new handset design that will ramp in [the second half of 2009],” said American Technology Research’s Doug Freedman. “We estimate Tegra could add $100M to 2H09 results.”

NVIDIA Tegra is a tiny computer-on-a-chip, smaller than a US dime (10-cent piece), designed from the ground up to enable the “visual PC experience” on a new generation of mobile computing devices while consuming the smallest amount of power.
