Opera joins the LiMo Foundation
Opera joins the LiMo Foundation. Opera Software has recently announced that it has joined the swelling ranks of mobile Linux leaders in the LiMo Foundation. Opera has a long history in developing its browser for the Linux platform and by joining this mobile Linux community the company hopes to contribute to the advancement of open and accessible mobile phone technology.

Commenting on the announcement, Opera Software’s Jon von Tetzchner said: “We have always prided ourselves on producing a standards-based browser with the goal of running on any platform. Linux Mobile is a growing platform that epitomizes our ideals of a unified mobile Web where standardization reigns industry-wide. We look forward to joining forces with other LiMo members to keep mobile technology moving forward.”
