Samsung Mobile Application Store to launch September 14
Samsung has announced that the Samsung Mobile Applications Store will go live on September 14th. The UK, France and Italy will be the first countries to get access to Samsung’s app store, with 30 countries (like Spain and Germany) set to follow. Customer can buy applications directly from their compatible Samsung handset through the Mobile Application Store’s billing system or choose to have purchases billed directly to their phone bill.

The Samsung Mobile Application Store will be home to some 300 native applications on launch, sourced from developers like Gameloft, Electronic Arts, Handmark, TAITO, Paragon SW, Capcom, Com2us, Prompt, Pearson Longman, Bokan Tech and Diotek. By the end of 2009, Samsung expects to see 2,000 apps available in its store.

Samsung Omnia and Samsung Omnia HD I8910 will be the initial supported devices to support the Samsung Mobile Applications Store, with the Samsung Omnia II I8000 and OmniaLITE B7300 soon to follow.
