BlackBerry Messenger 5.0 available

RIM has released BlackBerry Messenger 5.0. The free instant messaging application version 5.0.0.33 comes with Avatars (populated from BlackBerry Contacts), Group functions (allowing multiple users to share pictures, organizing tasks and events with shared lists and calendars, and ongoing group chat), 2D barcodes (allowing you to invite new friends to BlackBerry Messenger with the camera), up to 6MB File transfer.
