Handmark and Samsung announce Global Venture Fund Winners
Samsung and Handmark have announced the winners of its Global Venture Fund. Managed by Handmark in partnership with Samsung Ventures and Samsung Electronics, the Global Venture Fund was established to assist companies and/or individuals with the development of innovative ideas for next generation Samsung mobile phones, including the recently announced Samsung Wave.

Samsung and Handmark selected 30 titles from more than 15 developers to receive funding, including:
+ My Little Baby by Raylight
+ Glo by Mere Mortals
+ Grid by Fishing Cactus
+ polyhedral XL by Binary Hammer
+ Aces Texas Hold’em – No Limit by Concrete Software
+ TwinBlades by Press Start Studio

My Little Baby by Raylight and Glo by Mere Mortals are just two of the many titles exclusive to Samsung. Specific funding amounts were not released; however each selected application listed above was eligible for up to $250,000 in funding.

“The titles we selected represent a fantastic community of mobile innovators,” Dr. Hosoo Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of the Media Solution Centre at Samsung Electronics. “We are excited to bring these top-notch games and applications to our mobile customers, along with many others.”

In addition to the funding provided from the Samsung Global Venture Fund, Handmark will provide assistance with development, testing and certification, as well as distribution of the application through the Samsung Apps.
