Samsung Wave GT-S8500 is the first Bada OS-powered smartphone
Samsung S8500 Wave has been unveiled at MWC as first Bada OS phone. Samsung’s new mobile OS - Samsung bada is based on TouchWiz UI.

Samsung Wave comes with Bada OS, 1Ghz processor, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, a 3.3-inch WVGA (800×480) Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with mDNle (mobile Digital Natural Image engine) technology, which originated in Samsung’s LCD TV and LED TV. With its eye-catchingly brilliant screen, Samsung’s latest TouchWiz 3.0 user interface gives a tactile, intuitive user experience, and includes iconic new features such as motion UI, Smart Unlock and customizable widget screen.

Samsung GT-S8500 Wave has also accelerometer, A-GPS (assisted-GPS), WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, 3G data, 2GB memory, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), 1,500 mAh Li-Ion battery. There's also multi-codec support for DivX, XviD, MP3 and WMV, and support for virtual 5.1 surround sound and 720p recording / decoding. Size wise, the Samsung Wave measures 118x56x10.9mm.

Samsung Wave S8500 with Bada Operating System is expected to be available globally in April 2010.
