Nokia Video Cuts to skip boring scenes with ease

Using Nokia Video Cuts you can now find your favorite scenes with ease on your Nokia mobile phone. Unlike watching DVD’s at home, the current video galleries do not allow you to jump to your favorite scene or where you left off. Instead you have to start from the beginning of the video and fast forward to that scene. Nokia Video Cuts addresses this specific problem.

According to Nokia Beta Labs Blog,
Developed by Nokia Research Center, Beijing, Nokia Video Cuts can replace your current video gallery and provide a key missing feature to make your viewing experience more convenient. Nokia Video Cuts uses key frame extraction technology to separate a video’s key scenes, allowing you to jump from one scene to another with one simple click. The Nokia Video Cuts video gallery organizes your videos by title and also uses thumbnail images for easy searching. Full kinetic scrolling is smooth and snappy, and just like other video galleries, Nokia Video Cuts offers all the same functionality you would expect, like volume adjustment and full screen viewing.
Supported video formats include: H.263 (.3gp, .3gpp, mp4). Nokia Video Cuts was tested on the following devices: Nokia N97 and Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. Nokia says it should also be compatible with other S60 v5 touchscreen devices, including Nokia N97 mini, Nokia X6 and Nokia 5230.
