Nokia Battery Monitor available for download on Ovi Store

Nokia, in partnership with the VTT Technical Research Centre in Finland, has released a new application called "Nokia Battery Monitor" for S60v5 and Symbian^3 phones. Nokia Battery Monitor shows you the battery charge level with estimates of remaining usage time and charging time. It also provides statistics of your recent energy usage. Information can be viewed in full screen application or homescreen widget.

Nokia Battery Monitor has nine categories for battery consumption to predict how much longer your battery will last - Talk, Web browsing, Music playback, Home screen, Messaging, GPS apps, Gallery, Camera, and Other.

Nokia Battery Monitor is available for download FREE on Ovi Store by Nokia.

According to Nokia, Updated version 1.1 will be released in December/January. This will include charging time estimator support for all the latest Symbian^3 devices and improves accuracy of the existing algorithms. Major UI update and new features (version 2.0) are also under planning for 2011.
