Remember the AR.Drone quadricopter or that AR.Pursuit augmented reality game? The AR.Drone is the first ever quadricopter that you can fly with your Android smartphone/tablet. Here's good news from the company behind AR.Drone. Parrot has released a new free Android application called AR.FreeFlight. It's the first official application made for piloting the Parrot AR.Drone. For developers, there's also a special SDK allowing users to "create new applications dedicated to the AR.Drone on the Android platform."

For those who haven't yet heard of it, Relying on Wi-fi connection the AR.Drone creates its own Wi-Fi signal enabling the control through your smartphone/tablet. You won’t need any additional network connection and will enjoy a control range of up to 50 meters.
