Orange Tahiti 7-inch Android tablet launched in the UK. Orange has recently announced its own brand Android tablet, the Tahiti. The Huawei-made tablet is available from the carrier from £69.99 on a price plan of £25 per month. The Tahiti is the first Orange branded tablet to be ranged by Orange in the UK.

Orange Tahiti runs on Android Honeycomb OS, sports a 7-inch multi-touch LCD screen, and is powered by 1.2 GHz Qualcomm 8260 Dual Core CPU. Available in a slate black and silver finish, the Tahiti also boasts a 5MP camera, AGPS, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR as well as a 3G+ connection. As for the size, it comes with 10.5mm thickness and weighs 390 grams. The 4000mAh Li-Polymer battery promises enough power to provide you 6 hours of working time.

Other features include light sensor, gravity sensor, eCompass, 512MB RAM, 8GB EMMC memory. Orange Tahiti tablet also supports SDHC, Micro SD interface, Micro USB, 3.5mm stereo audio jack, stereo speaker, build-in MIC, HDMI type D, USIM card slot.

The Android tablet is already available from the carrier for £69.99 with a 24-month data plan at £25 a month. The data plan gives users up to download 1GB of data over mobile networks a month. Orange offers an additional 1GB between the hours of midnight and 4am. Alternatively, the Orange Tahiti tablet is also available free as part of a Connected 24 month plan with the San Francisco II mobile phone for £41 per month. The data plan comes with 2GB data allowance, 200 anytime call minutes and unlimited texts.
