Real Agent Guard Unveils New Personal Security System -- Signs First Realtor Association

Service available via easy-to-use mobile applications for real estate agents, their employers, and their family and friends -- Real Agent Guard has a suite of mobile apps that helps keep agents connected to their agency team while showing properties.

Real Agent Guard, an innovative mobile-enabled personal security service for real estate agents and brokers, is now available for download in all app stores. Starting at $3.99 per month, real estate firms can provide their agents with a way to feel secure when showing properties by themselves. The security solution has an array of tools, such as video monitoring, real-time geo-location tracking, failsafe PIN codes and more.

Video monitoring tools make it easy for agents to stay safe during an open house event and protect the homeowner's property. In the event of an emergency, Real Agent Guard broadcasts real-time geo-location of the agent to the monitoring team and also shares this with authorities, if needed.

The Northwest Arkansas Board of Realtors is the first Realtor association in the country to adopt and pay for the security app for all 1,800 members. The Board felt it was a needed benefit in light of last year's senseless murder of an Arkansas real estate agent while showing a house.

Real Agent Guard founders Justyn Hornor, a former Army sergeant, and Tim Brasuell, a police officer for 13 years, developed the security platform in response to agent Beverly Carter's tragic murder. Both founders wanted to build a powerful, yet affordable, security solution that acted as a safety net for agents.

"Our app is far less expensive than competing platforms on the market," Hornor says. "That was extremely important to us because we felt agents deserved a security service that was affordable for not only them, but also their friends and family who want to monitor their whereabouts and safety."

The Real Agent Guard app is the only one of its kind on the market to offer an enterprise-facing suite of safety tools, as well as a way for friends and family to monitor agents. Agents can arm a security system on their app with one click and upload photos of clients, license plates, a driver's license, or anything else. If they miss a check-in time or trigger an alert, their agency team and friends and family are instantly notified and have access to a tracker tool. Real Agent Guard is one of few tools available that requires an agent to use a PIN to logout or reset the timer, preventing an assailant from manually doing these.

"We are thrilled to be able to offer this service to our members, especially when it's coming from founders based in Arkansas who are dedicated to keeping our agents safe," says Doyle Yates, president of the Northwest Arkansas Board of Realtors and executive vice president with Coldwell Banker Harris McHaney & Faucette Real Estate in Fayetteville, Ark. "This is an investment worth making to ensure that our Realtors are safe when showing homes alone."

Apps currently available in the iOS and Android stores include Mobile App for Agents (free to download), Mobile App/Platform for Monitors, and Friends and Family App.
