CrowdFlik Announces Issuance of US Patent for Synchronized Mobile Video

CrowdFlik, Inc. Announces Issuance of US Patent for Synchronized Mobile Video -- Free App Synchronizes Event Videos, Allows Users To Create Multi-Angle Videos

CrowdFlik, Inc., a New York based technology company focused on the development of advanced mobile video products, has announced that the United States Patent and Trademark office has issued US Patent #9,129,640.

This patent covers the automatic synchronization and upload of video captured on mobile devices and methods related to the synchronized capture, upload, edit, sharing and viewing of mobile video.

This proprietary technology is applicable to the wide range of mobile devices where automatic synchronization and upload of multiple videos is beneficial – such as:
  • mobile phones
  • action cameras
  • mobile security installations
  • dash cameras
  • body cameras
  • drones
"CrowdFlik is defining the future of mobile video by taking the lead in the development of the next-gen of 'connected-video' functionality for consumers and industry. This is a game-changer for content creation around the world. With nearly two billion smart phones and another two billion mobile devices globally equipped to capture high-quality videos, the opportunities are enormous and this patent affirms CrowdFlik's leadership role in the future of mobile video," explains Chris Hamer, CrowdFlik's Founder and CEO.

First conceived as a way to crowd-source concert videos, CrowdFlik has received high accolades for a much wider variety of uses where multiple devices are capturing video simultaneously, including sporting events, travel, weddings, parties, corporate events and news events.

The transformational mobile video platform uniquely harnesses the power of the crowd by synchronizing multiple video feeds. This in turn empowers users with simple and intuitive features to create and share seamless, unique edits from the crowd's sourced video.

This proprietary technology is currently in use in the CrowdFlik app - available on the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch and on Google Play. The free app provides users the only way to automatically synchronize event video enabling the easy creation of seamless, multi-angle videos. The CrowdFlik app's patented process uses atomic time and geo-location data to enable synchronization to 1/1000 of a second.

CrowdFlik shares synchronized copies of the captured video to the proprietary, cloud-based video creation tool grouped by event or location. This enables users to create seamless, multi-angle videos, which in turn gives billions of music fans, sports fans, wedding guests and more the power to easily create and share significantly better videos than the vast majority of single camera-angle video captured and shared today.

Chris Hamer adds, "Anyone with a smartphone can collaborate with others to easily create and share customized videos of any event. This patent ensures CrowdFlik's long-term market exclusivity while we explore licensing opportunities with other providers to collectively grow the world of 'connected-video.'"
