SAIFE launches disruptive SDK with platform for complete Internet security

SAIFE logo and tagline
SAIFE is the Armored Transport for the Internet -- Any software startup can quickly add SAIFE's code and offer better security than most banks, hospitals, and entertainment companies' applications -- SAIFE's SDK launched during the TechCrunch Hackathon as one of the tools used by 900 participating developers and 160 teams for a 24-hour coding challenge

SAN FRANCISCO -- SAIFE announces the launch of its software development kit (SDK) to connect to the world's most complete, security-first Platform-as-a-Service at TechCrunch Disrupt 2015 in San Francisco, CA.

Built on SAIFE's unique, global real-time network, the SAIFE platform is the first to deliver complete protection for messaging, streaming, and storage of data for enterprises and independent developers on a "pay for what you use" basis.

SAIFE's patented authentication framework readies the platform to provide the most trusted routing over the Internet and to drastically reduce Internet attack surfaces, according to Ty Lindteigen, SAIFE's Executive Vice President. "Our platform ensures unparalleled privacy and protection for data and user identities. Encryption is easy to understand, but security has always been difficult – until we built a platform that relieves the burden and annoyance of security protocols for simple, plug-and-play protection." The company believes that this significant security advantage will enable developers in any industry to create transformative solutions, from a private photo-sharing app to a next-generation, HIPAA-compliant telemedicine system.

Over the last seven years, SAIFE has been tested and proven at the highest levels by United States government agencies. In light of ever-increasing cyberattacks on enterprise, personal, and financial data, SAIFE is now making its platform available to any organization needing to address today's biggest cybersecurity threats. "Enterprises have been demanding our proven security platform for their own data and application protection. We're excited that with the release of the SDK, there's now an easy way for them to use our expertise and code in their existing projects," said SAIFE's President Jim Tooker. "And we're confident that independent developers will also see the tremendous value in our solution." SAIFE's SDK was publically launched during the TechCrunch Hackathon, and was one of the tools used by the 900 participating developers and 160 teams for the 24-hour coding challenge.

The use of cloud networks has exploded in recent years, with developers reaping the benefits of easy and fast deployment, low startup costs, and global scalability. But security has lagged behind: often absent from popular cloud services, occasionally available as an added-after-the-fact patch, or present only as username-password access control. SAIFE's certificate-based identities and trust-first paradigm for every kind of communication makes complete security possible for any data, any device and over any network. "Trusting your cloud service to put your privacy first and then hope for the best is no longer an option. It's time to reduce the burden of developing secure, private applications on developers," said Lindteigen. "To achieve maximum protection, adding security needs to be both pervasive and effortless – it needs to be SAIFE."

SAIFE's free SDK is available for Android, iOS, Linux, and OS X platforms. Developers can learn more and register for the SDK at saifeinc.com/developers.
