AT&T To Carry The Kyocera DuraForce XD

DALLAS -- AT&T has confirmed it will sell the Kyocera DuraForce XD. With a massive 5.7-inch screen and military-grade durability[1], the DuraForce XD is the first phablet to join AT&T's industry-leading lineup of rugged devices. It supports AT&T's Enhanced Push-to-Talk[2] and is built to withstand dust, water, drops and more2. AT&T will be the first carrier to sell this device. Watch for more details on pricing and availability in the coming weeks.

Kyocera DuraForce XD is Kyocera's first rugged 4G LTE-ready[3] big-screen smartphone, DuraForce XD is ideal for workers who are constantly mobile and need a larger smartphone display that can sustain harsh weather and work environments. With its IP68 certification and Military Standard 810G protection,[1] DuraForce XD allows you to capture, review, or edit data on the go, and to work around water, dirt, and dust. It's tested and approved to support AT&T Mobile Device Management (MDM), Enterprise Data Management (EDM), Workforce Automation (WFA), and Sales Force Automation (SFA) solutions. And it's Android™ for Work enabled, so you can customize it to meet most any industry needs.

Rugged, big-screen design. Now you can be even more productive with a large screen that can hold up under harsh work conditions. DuraForce XD is certified IP68 dust and waterproof (30 minutes, 6 feet) and provides Military Standard 810G protection against dust, drops, shock, vibration, temperature extremes, blowing rain, low pressure, high altitude, solar radiation, salt fog, humidity, and water immersion.[1]

AT&T Enhanced Push-to-Talk (EPTT) support. Communicate with coworkers and work teams with the push of a large dedicated side key. Extra-loud dual speakers enable you to hear conversations, even in noisy work environments. Peak volume is 110dB. Plus, you get wide-coverage EPTT support over Wi-Fi and LTE.

Large, bright display. Enjoy improved readability in bright outdoor settings on the 5.7-inch HD, impact-resistant display. The large screen makes it easy to view documents, forms, schedules, and other business-critical information.

Continuous productivity. Stay productive—make calls, check email and text messages, take pictures, and more—in virtually any working environment. With the Glove and Wet Touchscreen Operation feature, you can use the touchscreen while wearing gloves[4] or when the screen is wet.

Protection in hazardous locations. Certified Non-Incendive, Class I, Division 2. With this certification, you can take your DuraForce XD with you to work sites where concentrations of flammable gases, vapors, or mists aren't normally present in an explosive concentration, but might accidentally exist.

Powerful removable battery. Don't worry about needing downtime to recharge your smartphone battery during long shifts. DuraForce XD is equipped with a removable 3700mAh battery plus external charging contacts for multi-bay charging.
