Nokia N810 WiMAX Edition discontinued

Nokia N810 WiMAX Edition discontinued. Nokia has discontinued its Nokia N810 WiMAX Internet Tablet. Nokia asked distributors to send any remaining stock back. The abrupt cancellation is reportedly due to the slow WiMAX roll-out in the States, as well as an issue with current WiMAX switches, which don’t offer optimal performance.

The Nokia N810 Internet Tablet WiMAX Edition was announced one year ago, at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show. Since then, only 2 markets, Baltimore and Portland, got a chance to experience the WiMAX networks.
