Samsung Galaxy 3 (i5801) and Galaxy 5 (i5503) Android phones announced

Two new Samsung Galaxy Android phones have been launched for India - the Samsung Galaxy 3 (i5801) and Galaxy 5 (i5503). Both mobile phones come with TouchWIZ 3.0 UI on top of Android 2.1 OS, Layar Reality Browser, Social Hub, Allshare and Swype.

Samsung Galaxy 3 (known as Samsung Apollo in the UK) comes with a 3.2 inch WQVGA touchscreen display, 667MHz CPU, accelerometer, proximity sensor, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G, DNSe, 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera with video recording, 130 MB of internal memory that is further expandable with microSD cards, and a 3.5mm headset jack. It costs Rs. 12,300 in India.

Samsung Galaxy 5 (known as Corby Smartphone in Italy) features a 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen display, 600MHz CPU, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, 2 megapixel camera, MicroSD card support, and a 3.5mm headset jack. It is available for Rs. 10,200 in India.
