Samsung invites unhappy Nokia Symbian developers to join the bada community
Samsung, the world's No.2 handset maker, is targeting the Symbian developers disagreeing with Nokia’s decision to adopt Windows Phone 7. As you may already know, the world's No.1 handset maker, said last month it would replace Symbian with Microsoft's Windows Phone to compete Apple and Google in the fast-growing smartphone industry.

Here’s the email Samsung has sent to developers,
If you are a Symbian developer unhappy about Nokia’s recent announcements, and are hence looking for a new platform to showcase your talents, we say “Hello!” and “Welcome to bada!” If you’re new to the bada development, or are moving your app from Symbian, we’d like to welcome you with the ‘Quick guide to bada development’. In about 15 minutes, you can learn how to build your first bada app!
What is bada? Samsung bada is a smartphone platform , which is created for wide range of device, unveiled in 2010. “bada” is a Korean word that means “ocean” and “seashore”. “bada” in itself embodies the open possibilities of the ocean: it can accommodate the various applications created by developers and it provides an interesting new space that offers unprecedented enjoyment to its users. bada is a new blue ocean of mobile applications for developers, and customers will have a wider choice of smartphones with cost-effective yet powerful bada-powered phones.
