Autodesk SketchBook Pro for Android released
Android users who loves to draw, Autodesk has announced the availability of Autodesk SketchBook Pro for Android. Optimized for tablets and other large-screened devices running Android Honeycomb, the SketchBook Pro for Android app enables users to take advantage of powerful sketching tools to create quick informal sketches or produce artwork on-the-go, all from the large screen of a tablet.

Autodesk SketchBook Pro for Android is the latest Autodesk app to support the popular mobile operating system following Autodesk SketchBook Mobile, which has been available for the Android platform since November 2010, and the AutoCAD WS for Android app, which launched in April.

Autodesk SketchBook Pro 2011 and 5.0 users will have access to the Copic marker brushes and Copic Color System through the 5.2 service pack update, available through the Autodesk SketchBook website or the Mac App Store. This update includes additional feature enhancements, such as the capability to read and write PXD files, the native format of the Pixlr line of products, newly acquired by Autodesk. The company also is releasing a free* Autodesk SketchBook Copic Edition app, featuring six Copic marker brushes and 72 colors from the Copic Color System on the Mac App Store. Users also can download the free* app from Too's website.

Autodesk SketchBook Pro costs $4.99, while the SketchBook Express is available for download FREE in the Android Market in the Media & Video category. The app requires devices running Android 3.0 and above.
