Google Earth on Android previewed

Good news for hikers and backcountry folks, Following on the launch of 'Nexus One', Google Earth for Android was also launched at the Android Press Conference. Google plans to release Google Earth as an Application on Android in the near future. The app lets user explore locations in fly-by/bird’s eye view.

In case you aren't aware of Google Earth, it's more detail than Google Maps. The app lets you fly anywhere on Earth to view satellite imagery, maps, terrain, 3D buildings, from galaxies in outer space to the canyons of the ocean. You can explore rich geographical content, save your toured places, and share with others.

We can't wait for Google Earth to be available in the Android Market soon. Stay tuned.
